| About Us In memory of Miss Dixie 7 Jul 1910 - 13 Nov 2011 Revised: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 Members of my immediate family are the general associates. The five persons noted on "The Group" chart at the bottom of the Talbot page are associates in the Louisiana Acadian Talbot family research. In the future, we will bring in relatives and friends who have stories to tell, but do not wish to maintain their own websites. Our genealogical database of about 88,300 individuals and 13,250 images has been growing for over a quarter-century. It has been maintained and managed using "The Master Genealogist" (TMG) program for the past decade. This site opened on 8 Feb 2009 and is a work in progress. Thank you for paying us a visit. Please come again, this site is growing and the 90+ pages are updated continually. Your comments, additions and corrections are always welcome, appreciated and continue to make this a better and more useful site. Contact us. His other children that I do know are Brenda, Jon, Patricia, Jimmy and Douglas Jr. Dad was born 2 Dec 1915 in Franklin, Louisiana, served in the Army Tank Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII and the occupation of Japan (based in Tokyo) until 1947. Afterwards, he is known to have resided in Chicago, New Orleans, Franklin, LA and the Hahnville-Luling, LA area. He was a licensed professional butcher. If you have any information or clues to the identity of my two long lost siblings, please contact me. I would dearly love to know or at least know of them. At right is his picture ca.1944, 5 ft.6 in.tall, with black wavy hair, dark blue eyes. He passed away in 1985. For his parents' family, click here. Thank you.
